A classic and romantic backyard wedding in Ogema Saskatchewan.

Vanessa and Matt had me meet them at this amazing old stone school house just outside of Ogema next to Vanessa's parents farm. My 2nd shooter Sam and I pulled up to this absolutely STUNNING old stone school, and this very cool classic Pontiac car that the Matt had invested countless hours of into having ready for the big day. After getting Matt ready and in place just before Vanessa's arrival, we started the day off with their first look, and then used this very cool location to shoot some fun pictures with wedding party. We finished up here and headed off to Vanessa's family farm where we wrangled up the families of the bride and groom for pictures before venturing to the Ogema train station for some more pre-ceremony portraits and pictures with the wedding party!

We had some big stormy skies, even a tornado warning and just as we arrived at the Ogema train station the clouds burst and let some liquid sunshine pour down. We decided to wait it out and as quickly as the weather rolled in it had rolled out and we had beautiful sunshine beaming down just in time to capture some incredible portraits around the train station with the passing storm system bringing life to the background, and be back to the farm in time for the ceremony.

"You may now kiss the bride!"

On Vanessa's parents elegantly decorated farm, under the warm Saskatchewan sun and surrounded by friends and family, Vanessa and Matt exchanged vows and said their I do's. Vanessa and Matt cheered and made a grand exit from the ceremony in that stunning classic Pontiac, complete with some adorable details like the cans tied to the bumper and "just married" across the rear window. If you look closely there is even a very special secret monogram in the text too. Since we had tackled the majority of the family and wedding party portraits before the ceremony the newly weds were free to head straight to their reception with their guests and await their amazing dinner.

The reception was also at Vanessa's family farm, and they had the whole shop decorated from floor to ceiling for the event, complete with secret photographer hideout up in the mezzanine! The catering company had some trouble finding the farm, those Saskatchewan directions can be a bit confusing at times, so we had a bit of time to fill before we sat down to eat. We easily filled that free time up with a few more romantic photos of the bride and groom with their classic Pontiac in the golden light of the late afternoon sun and before we knew it the food had arrived and it was time to serve up! After a wonderful meal provided by Charlottes Catering some of Vanessa and Matt's nearest and dearest shared some heartfelt speeches (I almost always tear up, no matter how many weddings I attend haha), then the couple shared their first dance, enjoyed some reception games and ended the scheduled events with the cutting of the cake!

I am so grateful for clients like Vanessa and Matt. Their effortless love for one another and hearts of gold make capturing their love story a breeze. I just know these two are destined for an eternity of happiness, cheers to your bright future together ❤
