There’s something truly magical about weddings that take place in unique, history-filled spaces, and Nicole and Justin’s day was the perfect example of that magic.

These two chose to tie the knot in a place unlike any other: the former Khedive Public School in Khedive, Saskatchewan. Built in 1921, the beautiful old brick school stood as a cornerstone of the community for over 50 years before closing its doors in 1976. Today, it has been lovingly repurposed into the Khedive Heritage Recreation Centre, and on this day, it became the backdrop for Nicole and Justin’s celebration.

Walking up to the historic schoolhouse felt like stepping back in time. Its warm brick and timeless architecture added such character and charm, almost as though the walls themselves were quietly holding decades of stories, and now, Nicole and Justin’s love story has become part of its history too.

The reception unfolded outdoors, tucked beneath elegant white tents that offered the perfect mix of rustic prairie charm and classic wedding elegance. Surrounded by wide-open Saskatchewan skies, guests laughed, toasted, and danced the night away. The contrast of the heritage schoolhouse standing in the background with the joy and celebration of a modern wedding created such a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Nicole and Justin’s day was filled with thoughtful touches, genuine emotion, and a strong sense of community. It was the kind of celebration that not only honored their love for one another but also tied them to a place that has meant so much to generations before them.

It was a joy to witness and capture their story in such a meaningful setting, one that blends history, heritage, and a brand-new chapter for an amazing couple.
