This laid back couple planned such a unique and relaxed way to capture their wedding day, and I loved every second of it! Instead of an engagement session, Erika and Lucas decided to plan their first look and bride and groom portraits as a separate session from their wedding day, we were able to relax, pop some champagne, and adventure around the couples home town and favorite little spots. I loved this idea for so many reasons, mostly because all too often the bride and grooms portraits don't end up getting the time they deserve. It also allowed them to use any locations they wanted without consideration needed for how far from waiting guests and wedding venues, and really allowed them to enjoy their wedding day with their guests!

The wedding day itself was beautiful, romantic, laid back, and so much fun! Erika and Lucas said their I do's surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family in the back yard of Lucas's childhood home. This stunning property gives you the feeling you're driving into a beautiful park, tall trees surrounding a perfect picturesque little laneway welcome you to this family's home, and they welcomed me like I was one of their dear guests. After we captured the formal photos with their families and loved ones we enjoyed an amazing dinner, some heartfelt speeches, and the newlyweds shared their first dance to Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur. Then it was officially party time! Lucas got the bon fire going, and the bride changed into this adorable custom sweat suit she had made just for the occasion. If the drive back to Weyburn from Lemberg was any longer I'd have had to stay and party with these two because it was 100% my kind of event!

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Miller, enjoy your happily ever after 🥂
