Some wedding days feel like they could be summed up in a single word, and for Brooke and Matt, that word was intentional. Every detail of their day reflected not only their love for each other, but their love for family, history, and the simple beauty of life together
Brooke and Matt grew up in the same small community, always aware of each other but never imagining that one day they’d be standing side by side as husband and wife. After years apart, a chance night spent with mutual friends changed everything, and from that point on, they were inseparable. Today, they share three beautiful boys: Russell, Konrad, and Ozzy, who were the heart of their wedding day.
The ceremony took place in the most charming spot, a quiet treed nook behind the family home, beneath the branches of a beautiful apple tree. It was the perfect backdrop for an intimate, heartfelt ceremony. In true family-first fashion, the couple’s three sons stood alongside them as ring bearers, with their oldest, Russell, holding the rings. After exchanging vows, Brooke and Matt presented each of their boys with a special gift, necklaces for the older two, and a teddy bear for little Ozzy, a touching reminder that this marriage is as much about their family as it is about the two of them.
Brooke’s bridal style was one of the most unique and meaningful touches of the day. She wore her grandmother’s wedding dress, lovingly sewn in the 1970s, along with heirloom jewelry from Matt and a macramé bouquet wrap she crafted herself. Even her shoes carried her artistic touch, adorned with macramé and crystals. Between two dresses, two veils, and all the delicate, handcrafted accessories, every piece told a story.
The celebration continued in Odessa, where Brooke’s mom’s backyard was transformed into a boho dream with vintage finds, thrifted treasures, and family heirlooms. Pink and orange tones, macramé accents, and 70s-inspired details set the scene for an intimate dinner with just twelve guests, parents, grandparents, and, of course, their boys. Guests were treated to a three-course meal by private chef Melissa Ricard, along with custom cookies and matchbooks as thoughtful keepsakes.
It was a day that felt calm, heartfelt, and beautifully personal, exactly as Brooke had envisioned. A wedding rooted in family, heritage, and artistry, celebrating not only the love Brooke and Matt share, but the life they’ve built together.
